We are facing plenty of problems like this – like the aging population or the more expensive healthcare – which we can only solve satisfactorily with rhytmical economic growth. Where the economy stagnates or falls back the social tensions sharpen, the gap between rich and poor extends, the political situation becomes unpredictable. Growth makes it possible for some to get more, while others don’t get less."
